NIWeek 2018 and Its Second Annual Women's Leadership Forum

The second annual NIWeek Women’s Leadership Forum, an event that brings together women leaders from science and engineering for a day of collaboration, networking, and business insights, is coming up on May 24, 2018 in Austin, Texas.

After a very successful inaugural year in 2017, the 2018 event will host female executives and other industry leaders who will educate and inspire us all to think about the roles diversity and inclusion have on driving innovation. It has become clear that the most successful companies are the ones that recognize the value of diverse ideas. How can we deepen our roles in encouraging empowerment within our own organizations and drive change by creating better collaboration and empowerment for all workers? Where do we see successes in developing, including, and rewarding diversity in our workplaces and how can we build on these ideas to grow even more?

This year’s program includes a morning keynote, followed by a panel session moderated by NI Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing Eric Starkloff.  During the lunch hour, lightning talks will be given, and all will conclude with an afternoon keynote.  Panel members thus far consist of the following inspiring females:

  • Dr. Sharon L. Wood - Dean and Professor, The University of Texas at Austin
  • Deirdre Walsh - Director of Marketing, Silicon Labs
  • Miki Van Cleave - Assistant Vice President, Auto Experience, USAA
  • Sherry Hess - Vice President of Marketing, AWR Group, NI

I look forward to meeting you there!
