Women in Engineering – More Women Needed!

Mar 2, 2017 | Posted by: Sherry Hess

It’s not very often that you see a woman ringing the opening bell to mark the IPO of a tech company, let alone her own tech company. CEO Therese Tucker founded BlackLine in 2001 and went public in October of this year, making her one of very few female tech entrepreneurs and executives.

Women are making significant headway in fields such as business and law, but while technology is one of the fastest-growing sectors of the economy, it remains male dominated.

I’ve seen significant change since I began championing my beliefs by organizing and supporting WIM events back in 2011. I discuss the state of the industry for women, the changes that are happening, and what still needs to be done in my guest blog for High Frequency Electronics. I invite you to check out my blog here and share with me your opinions and thoughts on what more can be done.
