3D Planar Electromagnetic (EM) Analysis

AXIEM is the 3D planar electromagnetic (EM) analysis software found within the NI AWR Design Environment platform. Its fast solver technology readily addresses passive structures, transmission lines, large planar antenna and patch array problems with more than 100K unknowns. Whether characterizing and optimizing passive components on RF PCBs, modules, LTCCs, MMICs, RFICs, or antennas, AXIEM has the accuracy, capacity, and speed designers need to ensure right the first time. 

Recent Additions

The latest release of NI AWR Design Environment, specifically AXIEM, provides for new and expanded capabilities. Highlights include:

  • Enhanced Iterative Matrix Solver - Matrix solve is now even faster due to simultaneous solution of multiple ports (right-hand sides), providing time saving benefits to structures with large port counts.
  • Meshing Upgrades - Benchmarking up to a 50 % reduction in simulation run times, major meshing upgrades improve robustness and speed.
  • EM Port Automation - Ports can now be automatically added to EM sub-circuits to greatly simplify creating EM layout with documents that have high port counts.
