Qorvo Designs 1-8 GHz GaN Distributed PA MMIC With Novel Trifilar Transformer
Designers innovated a 1-8 GHz GaN PA MMIC that utilized a non-uniform distributed PA topology with a novel trifilar connected to the output transformer. The performance compared favorably to published GaN MMIC PA benchmark results for bandwidth, gain, die size, and efficiency.
