We believe the future of wireless design is in the hands of today’s EE students who will become tomorrow’s innovators. The AWR University Program was started as a result of industry and academia demand for students to have access to and practical, real-world experience with software design tools prior to graduation and entering the industry. We work with universities worldwide to empower students with RF/microwave software tool experience and jumpstart their engineering careers.
As an important building block in the AWR University Program, we sponsor student design competitions to encourage students to become involved in the dynamic profession of microwave and RF engineering and to apply their knowledge to practical designs using the highly efficient AWR design methodology. The 2015 Xidian Unversity NI AWR Software Student Design Competition was held in Q2, 2015.
-
Organized in conjunction with the Electronics Engineering Institute at Xidian University, the contest ran for five months and included the use of NI AWR Design Environment™ for the design of novel microwave circuits.
-
IEEE IMS MTT-S 2015 (U.S.) Student Design Competitions
-
AWR regularly gifts software to the winning teams of select IMS MTT-s student design competitions. These typically include the categories of High Efficiency Power Amplifier, SDR and Radar. New this year is an additional travel grant to First Place winners (one member and sponsoring Professor) to also attend and present a poster at NIWeek 2015 in Austin, TX this August.
